I'm Back!

I haven't really had the time or (let's be honest) the interest in uploading anything this past year, I have been very busy with work. As a waitress I work the days that 9-5ers call their 'weekend' as well as weekdays, and that doesn't just mean an average 8 hour shift, no no no, 11 hour shifts, morning-night, and what a joy that is, not. Don't get me wrong, I love my job 90% of the time and I'm happy to provide service for our customers, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a 9-5 job, just so I get my weekends back. I do miss going shopping with my friends, getting lunch and coffee, and just generally chilling out with them on weekends, and I know for a fact I will get all of that back at some point, but I'm not there yet. So to all of those fellow weekend/evening workers, I salute you, you're all fab!

I'll be honest, since I started this job over a year ago, I've become much more appreciative when it comes to customer service, and I always will be. It triggers me when people look down on us for the jobs we do, but at the end of the day, who would serve them food, coffee or take their purchase for clothes and products if we didn't? It makes my day when I get an appreciative/grateful customer, it makes my job that little bit easier to do.

More to the point, I do miss blogging, and I will try my best to get back into it. My life isn't very exciting, work takes up 80% of it, but I can share personal experiences if I think that some of you may benefit from it, as well as beauty, skincare and fashion tips/updates.

I'm about to fully transform my bedroom at home, after approximately 8 years, to what I want it to be. So I will keep you informed on that, if you like decorating/household things I'm sure you'll enjoy the post.

Ciao for now

Spontaneous Makeup Look!

I decided to do my makeup one night out of boredom and this happened..

Products Used:
NYX Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer Anti-Redness
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation '100 Ivory'
Real Techniques Makeup Sponge
Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer '010 Ivory'
Rimmel London Brow This Way 'Dark Brown'
Seventeen Easy On The Eye 'Birthday Suit' Palette
Rimmel London Black Eyeliner
Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara
Rimmel London Sculpting Palette '002 Coral Glow'
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder '001 Transparent'
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in 'Soft-Spoken'

I begin with skincare, moisturising (NIVEA), eye cream(Simple), and lip balm(Elizabeth Arden). I put primer all over my face, wet my sponge, squirt some foundation onto the back of my hand and begin to apply it from the middle of my face blending outward.
I then fill in my eyebrows fairly lightly, and grab my eyeshadow palette. I put the matte pink (Cool Rose) all over the lid and then i blend the glittery pink (Toasted Almond) from the outer corners inward. I apply eyeliner along my lash line and gradually make the line thicker, then wing it out, and do my best to make them look fairly identical. I also put eyeliner on my lower waterline and i put 'cool rose' eyeshadow lightly under my eyes. I then move onto concealer which i put under each eye in a triangle like shape, down the side of my nose and then from the outer corner of my eye to the end of my nose. I conceal the center of my forehead in 3 lines making a sort of triangle, down the center of my nose, cupids bow, middle of my chin, and blend. I powder to keep the concealer in place, and contour with the bronzer in my sculpting palette, sides of the nose, below cheek bones and round the edges of my face. I highlight my cheek bones, underneath my eyebrows, down the center of my nose and cupids bow. I then put on mascara and my chosen lippy.

November Favourites!

My November favourites consist of:
The series Lost, I know I'm very late to the party but I'm actually so into it, I watched it for 12 hours straight the other day. It's about survivors of a plane crash trying to survive on an undiscovered island. I've got another 4 seasons to go, if you haven't seen it give it a chance, it's on Sky. I love it!

I bought a jumper from H&M last christmas, I was obsessed with it and then stopped wearing it cause it got warmer, now I'm obsessed with it again. It's slightly oversized, relaxed fit on the body but snug on the arms.

My friend lent me her Doc Martins and I love them. I'm going to buy some myself at some point, they have fleece lining inside and keep my feet toasty in the cold weather. The colour is gorgeous too. (Not sure when I'm giving them back haha).

I went to Blackpool this month to visit family and an old friend, I enjoyed it so much. I went out clubbing with my brother and friends one night and we got in at 8.30am, it was a laugh and so much fun! I had a bit too much to drink, fell over and ended up in A&E for a few hours (bumped my head, nothing major), I think I had concussion but instead of waiting for the doctor to see me we went to McDonalds, haha! I really enjoyed my maccies breakfast, treat from my brother :) That's one thing I miss about living in Blackpool, nights out with my family.

I went shopping with my closest friends and got Ben & Jerrys Blondie Brownie, on offer for £2 in Asda, it is gorgeous! I have never loved an ice cream so much. Brownie pieces and Salted Caramel core, YUM!

Finally, I have loved this for months but when I had it after a few drinks it was heavenly. My local chinese (Hong Kong) Chicken Chow Mein, it is sooooo yummy!

Fall/Autumn Makeup Look

This is my Fall/Autumn Makeup Look, which I'll most likely wear all year round because I love it so much.

The products used are:
NYX Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer Anti-Redness
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation '100 ivory'
Real Techniques Makeup Sponge
Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer '010 ivory'
Rimmel London Brow This Way 'dark brown'
Seventeen Easy On The Eye 'Birthday Suit'
Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara
Rimmel London Sculpting Palette '002 Coral Glow'
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder '001 Transparent'
NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in 'Sandstorm'

I begin with skincare, moisturising (NIVEA), eye cream(Simple), and lip balm(Elizabeth Arden). I put primer all over my face, wet my sponge, squirt some foundation onto the back of my hand and begin to apply it from the middle of my face blending outward.
I then fill in my eyebrows fairly lightly, and grab my eyeshadow palette. I put the matte pink (Cool Rose) all over the lid and then i blend the glittery pink (Toasted Almond) from the outer corners inward. I then move onto concealer which i put under each eye in a triangle like shape, down the side of my nose and then from the outer corner of my eye to the end of my nose.

October Favourites!

I've been loooving a few songs this month, play them constantly:
  • Jessie Ware - Say You Love Me, this song is so deep and her voice is so good.
  • Michelle Williams ft. Kelly Rowland, BeyoncĂ© - Say Yes, great vocals!
  • Amy Macdonald - This Is The Life, an old favourite which I've re-discovered.
  • The Weeknd - Starboy ft. Daft Punk
I've also been loooving a few series'(like a LOT):
  • Chicago Fire, I am absolutely obsessed with this show, I finally caught up with it and it introduced me to my next fave.
  • Chicago PD, I never expected to love this as much as I love Chicago Fire but I do, oooh I really do. A-MAZ-ING.
  • Covert Affairs, the only real reason this interested me is because Piper Perabo plays the main character Annie Walker, and Coyote Ugly is one of my favourite films! It's a really good series so far, I'm only in the middle of the first season.
The one book I've been enjoying is After You by Jojo Moyes, the sequel to Me Before You. I absolutely loved the first book and I'm enjoying the second just as much so I totally recommend it if you haven't read it, or either. (The film 'Me Before You' is good but the book is better).

I've been loving Macaroni Cheese a LOT, I had it at O'Neills and really enjoyed it so I constantly have the ready meals, cannot get enough I tell ya.

I went to the cinema the other day with one of my best friends and had a Vampire Frappuccino from Starbucks which is chocolate and strawberry and it was DIVINE, definitely getting that again. (I watched Girl On The Train, really good but again, the book is better).

Treated myself to 2 NYX Liquid Suede Lipsticks, in shades Soft-Spoken and Sandstorm, I'm obsessed, long lasting and not patchy at all, I'll definitely be buying more from that range.

September Favourites!

Throughout September I have loved..

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream 30ml
I have loved this for a few months now, maybe even a year? I'm not sure, but its super moisturising and I take it everywhere, cannot be without it.

H&M Wonder 90's Top
I urged my friend to get this top, then I saw it weeks later in store on sale, last one and it
was in my size so I thought 'why not? its clearly meant to be'.

Now That's What I Call A Singer, Now That's What I Call A Million, and Now That's What I Call Rock Ballads.
There are some right tunes on these cds, my personal favourites: Dido-Here With Me, Justin Timberlake ft. Timbaland-SexyBack, Alison Moyet-That Ole Devil Called Love (Singer) CĂ©line Dion-Think Twice, George Michael-Careless Whisper, Will Young-Evergreen (Million) 4 Non Blondes-What's Up?, Walking On Cars-Speeding Cares, Meredith Brooks-Bitch (Rock Ballads).

I have really been loving Coffee, I've always been a tea drinker and I'd have the occasional Latte. Now I find myself at Costa regularly getting Cappuccino's and drinking filter coffee occasionally at home. YUM.

This is the outfit I have loved throughout September, makes me feel like a rock chick. I got it from New Look, Black Coated Supersoft Super Skinny Jeans, and Grey Stripe Funnel Neck 3/4 Sleeve Oversized Top. The tops quite thick and the jeans are quite thin but its always gonna be a favourite of mine.

My Everyday Make-Up Look

My Everyday Make-Up Look:

I begin my make-up with Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in the shade Ivory, which I apply with Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I am loving this sponge right now, it makes my foundation look so flawless..(We flawless, ladies tell 'em!).
I then fill in my eyebrows semi-lightly with Rimmel London Brow This Way Eyebrow Kit, which I never used to care about til eyebrows became a major thing.

I then move onto my eyes...

I use my Seventeen Easy On The Eye Birthday Suit Palette, spread the eye primer all over the lid (bottom right corner), and then use Cool Rose (third across top row) and Toasted Almond (fourth across top row). I put Cool Rose all over my lid and then apply Toasted Almond (which is a shimmery pink) from the outside in. I never liked pink much until my friend introduced me to these colours, I am in LOVE!

I then use my veryy worn out Rimmel pencil Eyeliner in Soft Kohl to line my lids and draw a slight wing, and go over the top of that with Rimmel London Colour Precise Eyeliner, at this point the liner ends up getting thicker and thicker til they look similar, as per.
I then conceal with Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in 010 Ivory under my eyes and anywhere else necessary; usually my rudolph nose, and go in with bronzer.
I contour my face, the usual cheek bones, nose and around the edges of my face with Rimmel London Kate Sculpting Palette in 002 Coral Glow

I usually then powder my T-Zone at this point if i remember with Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent, and then grab Maybelline's Master Contour Duo Stick in Light. I apply the highlight side above the bronzer on my cheek bones, down the centre of my nose and under my eyebrows, I'm too scared to use the bronzer side, it's so dark and daunting, I don't think I'm at that skill level yet.
I sometimes grab my Sculpting Palette again and apply some of the powder highlight over the top. I finish powdering my face where I need to and blend down my neck, and sometimes use Dior White Crayon Kohl Pencil on my lower eye water line.. which is definitely not in my budget but it was given to me by my friend who's mum had a major beauty clear out.
Lastly I use my Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara which definitely lengthens my lashes, it is my top fave.

I sometimes wear my current favourite lipstick: Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipstick in 700 Naughty Nude, which I am wearing in the picture below:

I love this lipstick, it is so moisturizing and long lasting, win win!

P.s. If you're wondering why the picture is like that on snapchat: my screen froze, I thought my makeup looked good so I screenshot it hahaha.

P.s.s. If you haven't noticed, a lot of my makeup is Rimmel London which is affordable and such good quality, so I totally recommend it if you haven't tried it. Treat yourself!
